The band's publicist has told of a new album in the works for the band, stating "Lallier and Tyler have been hard at it writing songs for an album they hope to release in early 2013, and there are plans for a few live performances to promote the album". At a lunch-meeting held at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville, JAG Records A&R reps suggested that the company release the Blackstone River Band album, Hotel Room Demos, which was recorded by the record company owners and considered to be a rare collector's album.
